Roman City

VHS, 60 MIN., 1994, Study guide available CC

Two thousand years ago, the Roman Empire linked Western Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa into a single, giant commercial and political unit that stayed mostly peaceful for two centuries. In part, the empire was maintained by Rome's powerful military. Yet the spread of Roman civilization across the vast empire was carried out in large part by another force: the Roman city. Roman City also looks at structures the homes, temples, amphitheaters, and other structures where people conducted their daily lives.
